Support of a Global Grant for a Hearing Clinic in the Dominican Republic

Dr. Roger Fagan is an audiologist who has served the hearing impaired in Maine from 1972-2021. 

He was in the first audiology exchange to China in 1988 and founded a Rotary hearing aid donation program in the Vellore Christian Medical Center in Vellore India in 1992. He has been a Portland Rotarian for 32 years and is the recipient of the Rotary International Service Above Self award.

 

He and his wife Dr. Elizabeth Fagan, a speech-language pathologist, have donated their time through Portland Rotary to improving the lives of the hearing impaired in the Dominican Republic. 

 
 Since 2002 this Rotary hearing team has gone on 25 missions to the Dominican Republic, delivering over 4,500 hearing aids to the poorest of the poor in that country.
 

Dr. Fagan is currently writing a Global Grant to create a self-sustaining Rotary Hearing Clinic at the Good Samaritan Hospital in La Romana, Dominican Republic.
